2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC Crossover, First of New EV Lineup, Starts at $68,895

• The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC400 4Matic enters the suddenly burgeoning marketplace of luxury electric vehicles.

• The EQC is Mercedes's first fully electric vehicle and will be followed by others in a new EQ lineup starting with an EQV minivan coming next year.

• The EQC will arrive in showrooms starting in early 2020, Mercedes says.

This year's Los Angeles auto show has become a showcase for electrification. Brand-new fully electric vehicles and electric product-line expansions have come from the likes of Ford, Audi, and now it's the turn of Mercedes. Starting at $68,895, the 2020 Mercedes EQC 400 4Matic puts itself into a growing class of luxury electric vehicles from Jaguar, Audi, and of course Tesla.
