2022 Chevy Silverado gets an update

Senior Editor James Riswick demonstrates the MultiPro Tailgate on the updated 2022 Chevy Silverado. One cool feature of the updated Silverado is the one push button that lowers all windows at the same time, but there isn’t a single button to bring them all backup…first world problem.

JAMES RISWICK: This is the 2022 Chevy Silverado. It's the High Country. This has been updated for 2022. But it still has GM's exceptional multi-pro tailgate. It is power operated. And then when you press one of those two buttons on the tailgate, it goes down. Now I'm in the process of moving. And I tell you, this has been a fantastic feature. It real-- this amount of space really does make a world of difference in terms of lifting heavy things inside the bed.

And then to that same goal, that step also makes it super easy to climb inside with or without that arm knob that comes up. And this step is way, way superior to these corner steps that you otherwise get on the GM trucks. Now you can't get a speaker system down there on the GM trucks. But yeah, lift this all up. There you go. Those are the two buttons. This one lowers the whole thing. And this lowers the top bit, a bit of a chest level workstation, or kind of provides a good place to extend out lumber, or surfboard, something longer.

So there it is. A guy on a bike. And then, multi-pro tailgate. So I'm in the Chevy Silverado. And here's a cool feature I haven't seen before. This big, big fat button here. Press that and all the windows go down at once. Isn't that cool? Unfortunately, it only goes down. There's not a button to make them all go up. So you have to do this the old fashioned way, put them up here. There you go.
