The 2022 Nissan Ariya Is a Striking Electric SUV

Nissan is trying to turn things around after years of cranking out stagnant product, and falling profits. Its first big move as part of its turnaround plan is this, the new Ariya electric SUV, and by the looks of it, there may yet be hope for the automaker. The Ariya rides on a new EV platform and will come equipped with either a 65- or a 90-kWh battery pack. The base front-wheel drive version gets 214 from its single motor, while the dual-motor all-wheel drive version puts out nearly 400. Nissan promises up to 300 miles of range, and when it goes on sale next year, it should cost around $40,000.
