The 2024 Buick Envision Gets Super Cruise, Interior Upgrades

• Buick is updating the Envision's styling for 2024 and is finally making Super Cruise available.

• The refreshed Envision borrows the same Wildcat Concept styling inspiration as the similarly new Envista.

Buick is finally jumping into the world of hands-free driving with the ‘24 Buick Envision. The refreshed two-row crossover will be the first Buick product to get the General Motors Super Cruise system and is the third of the reveals slated through 2024. Like the Envista, the updated Envision leans on the Wildcat Concept’s design language for the exterior.

While we’ve seen one image of the Envision’s exterior, and learned that it’s getting Super Cruise, it’s hard to say what else Buick has up its sleeve for the updated crossover. While this refresh seems to be significant, it’s likely that Buick will carry over the same powertrain that’s under the hood of the current Envision—a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 making 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

Alongside the exterior update, Buick sent along a teaser of the refreshed interior. While it doesn’t show the entire dashboard, it’s clear the Buick design team worked extensively on the Envision’s interior. We see a new instrument cluster and a new Buick logo in the center of the steering wheel. Of course, some changes inside are due to the adoption of GM’s Super Cruise.

The styling might be the most appealing part of the Envision’s update externally, but introducing Buick customers to Super Cruise is probably the bigger deal. Expanding the General Motors hands-free driver-assistant system to Buick for the first time makes sense on a higher-volume product like the Envision and should help Buick fans to get familiar with the system as it continues to roll out across the GM portfolio.

The ‘24 Envision is slated to hit dealer lots early next year, but more details about the car are coming later this year. Considering the expansive refresh, it’s likely the Envision will be more expensive than its current $34,745 base price. Though, a bigger increase could happen at the top level when you roll in the optional Super Cruise.
