This year's Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, despite a 45-minute red-flag period following a first-lap crash, drew the third-largest television audience on record for a F1 race.

The Sunday morning live broadcast on ABC, which featured a 9 a.m. ET start and a win for hometown hero Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, brought in an average 1.965 million viewers on U.S. television. That's third all-time to the F1 Miami Grand Prix races of 2022 and 2024.

The 2024 Miami Grand Prix holds the U.S. record for viewership of a Formula 1 race with an average of 3.1 million.

That 1.965 million viewers for this year's race at Monaco was a 7% increase of the 1.833 million U.S. viewers for the same race last year. This year's TV audience peaked for the end of the race at 2.3 million viewers between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m.

The 2023 race was the first time the Monaco Grand Prix was broadcast live on ABC.
