Yahoo Autos 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Dresses Up in Bronze, Adds Performance
Ford revealed that the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT is getting an attractive new appearance package.
The Bronze Appearance package comes with a set of 20-inch bronze-painted aluminum wheels, special bronze-colored badging, a bronze-colored front grille, and an optional performance upgrade.
Ford hasn't revealed any details on the performance upgrade yet, but it confirms the changes turn the 2024 Mach-E GT into the quickest version of the EV crossover yet.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT lineup is about to get a little bit larger. That's because Ford is adding a new visual option package exclusive to the high-performance version of the electric crossover. Called the Bronze Appearance package, the optional extras do exactly what the name suggests and alter some of the car's accent colors.
The package changes the crossover's front grille color to bronze, adds 20-inch aluminum wheels finished in "Sinister Bronze," and also includes exterior badges finished in the same color. Paired with the Eruption Green paint in Ford's handout images, the bronze touches look quite handsome. The Bronze package can only be paired with three exterior colors: Shadow Black, Star White Metallic Tri-Coast, and the Eruption Green shown here.
In addition to the changes in appearance, Ford also teased an optional performance boost to go along with the Bronze package. Details are scant, but according to the manufacturer, the optional upgrade will make the bronzed-out version the quickest version of Mach-E to date. As things stand now, the 480-horsepower Mach-E GT Performance is no slouch. In our testing, we rocketed to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, but Ford promises this upgrade will make it accelerate even quicker.
Orders for the 2024 Mach-E are scheduled to open later this winter, and a Mach-E GT AWD with the extended-range battery pack and Bronze Appearance package carries a starting price of $62,885. The unspecified performance upgrade will cost extra, but we'll have to wait to get more details on what that entails.
