We’ve not been shy about praising the Hyundai Elantra N. The sporty front-driver offers some of the best dynamics you can get this side of a Civic Type R, and it now comes with a better-looking face for the 2024 model year. Hyundai launched new pricing this week for the revised Elantra N, which is now slightly more expensive than its pre-facelift predecessor.

Hyundai first showed the updated Elantra N back at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2023. The automaker clearly heard that people weren’t in love with the looks of the earlier models, bringing a thoughtful new approach to the fascias. The headlights are more cohesive and aggressive than before, while a reworked grille helps make the car look a bit more premium. A similar set of changes has taken place out back, with an all-new rear bumper that’s a bit sportier. It’s a more successful attempt at the sports sedan recipe, though arguably still not up to par with some of the lookers coming out of Hyundai these days.

The update also includes a few mechanical revisions, including new engine mounts aimed at reducing vibrations. The dampers have also been retuned, while urethane bushings have been added to the rear suspension components. Forged 19-inch wheels also help shave off some 33 lbs of unsprung weight compared to the outgoing units. Hyundai has also adjusted the stability control system to account for the changes. Under the hood you’ll find the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot as before, providing 276 hp and 289 lb-ft.

A 2024 Elantra N with a manual transmission will start at $34,850 with destination charges included. That is a jump of $835 over last year’s model, or $1605 more than when the car first arrived for 2022. That said, it still remains just below the GR Corolla’s starting MSRP of $37,595 including destination. The price is also significantly cheaper than the Honda Civic Type R, which starts at $45,890 with destination. Should you want your Elantra N to come with the brand’s 8-speed dual-clutch offering, you’ll need to pony up $36,350. Both Performance blue and Atlas white exterior paint will also see that price jump by $470, while Abyss black, Ultimate red, Intense blue, and Cyber gray are all free options.

Regardless of how you spec it out, the Elantra N is still a genuinely great performance value.
