2024 Kia Telluride: Car and Driver 10Best Trucks and SUVs

We've been singing the Kia Telluride's praises for years. Officially past the infatuation phase, we've now moved in together and are happily cohabitating. And we mean that literally: Since this polished and practical SUV first started winning 10Best trophies, multiple Car and Driver staffers have parked Tellurides in their personal garages, the latest being our road test editor, Becca Hackett, last summer.

The Telluride competes in the mid-size three-row SUV segment, but it's so sweet that it seems to transcend its competitive set entirely. No matter what kind of SUV you're looking for, you can't really go wrong with the Telluride.

If you pony up for the higher trims, some of which barely exceed $50,000 even with all the goodies, it's as luxurious inside as many premium-brand vehicles. Unless you're a badge snob, who needs a luxury SUV? At the same time, the Telluride's lower trim levels, which start under $40,000, are affordable enough to reside in the same price bracket as many smaller crossovers. Why buy a compact when you can get this spacious mid-sizer with room to stretch out in all three rows?
