The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is here, and it comes with a major power boost. While the previous Turbo S E-Hybrid made 670 hp and 663 lb-ft of torque, the new (non-S) E-Hybrid produces 729 hp and 700 lb-ft.

Still, it isn't the quickest Cayenne. Porsche says the new one will hit 60 in 3.5 seconds, four tenths slower than the 631-hp, internal-combustion-only Cayenne Turbo GT. Apparently the extra juice from the batteries can't quite make up for their added weight, at least off the line. Heft over the old model increases thanks to a larger 25.9-kWh battery pack (up from 14.1 kWh). Porsche says electric range should be significantly better, though it hasn't shared an updated figure. The previous model could travel up to 11 miles on a charge. The Cayenne can now handle 11-kW charging speeds, too, cutting full charge time down under 2.5 hours on a Level 2 charger.

To handle its power, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid comes standard with adaptive air suspension. Porsche's new version of the system can independently vary compression and rebound flexibility, allowing for greater variations in diving demeanor. Torque-vectoring all-wheel drive also comes standard. Active sway bars (PDCC, in Porsche terminology) are also optional, as is a rear-steer system.

Outside and inside, styling has been updated to match the Cayenne's updated '24 look. That means new headlights, an updated hood, revised fenders, and a new center stack inside. Turbo E-Hybrid models get body-painted wheel arches, red brake calipers, larger air intakes, gloss-black air blades, and brushed aluminum dual exhausts. The inside of the Cayenne looks mostly the same, with more aluminum accents and a headliner made of Race-Tex, Porsche's version of Alcantara.
