2025 Cadillac CT5 Flashes a Giant Screen in Detroit

After just a handful of years in production, Cadillac is giving its CT5 sedan an update. Revealed at the 2023 Detroit auto show, the updated Cadillac CT5 gets a new nose and a massive interior update, bringing its overall look and feel more in line with the rest of the current Cadillac lineup. That means it now sports a massive 33-inch touchscreen display.

Under the hood, the CT5 sticks with its 2.0-liter I4 and 3.0-liter V6. The engines carry over their specs, with the 2.0-liter I4 sending 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. If you want more power, the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 pushes 335 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. From there, power travels to the rear, or through an all-wheel-drive system.

If you’re wondering what will happen to the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, Cadillac says details about the V8-powered Caddy will come at a later date.

The giant central touchscreen handles the multimedia system and driver information and echoes what you’ll find in a Cadillac Lyriq. While the dashboard is a massive departure from the current CT5, the center console carries the same controls as currently configured, including gear selector and drive mode selector.

Exterior styling changes are minor and mostly affect its face. The ’25 CT5 sports a new grille, flanked by new, stacked headlamps with a reshaped bumper cover below.

While we’re still waiting on news about the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing, it’s good to see Cadillac hasn’t yet given up on sedans. Cadillac didn’t mention the price, though expect stickers to hover around the current $39,790 starting price.
