Yahoo Autos 2025 Cadillac Vistiq Is the Brand's Latest UnIQuely Named EV SUV
The 2025 Cadillac Vistiq is the latest electric model to join the brand's rapidly expanding lineup.
Cadillac says the three-row Vistiq SUV slots between the Lyriq and the Escalade IQ, which suggests a size similar to the gas-fed XT6.
The first images of the Vistiq reveal a "600E4" badge, alluding to an all-wheel-drive powertrain with at least 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.
Cadillac's electric models skip generic alphanumeric names in favor of unique monikers that feature an "iq" suffix. So far, the Lyriq is the only one that's entered production, but GM's luxury brand is getting closer to rapidly expanding. Along with the purposely low-volume, hand-built Celestiq flagship, the company has revealed forthcoming EV SUVs such as the full-size Escalade IQ and the subcompact Optiq. Now the 2025 Cadillac Vistiq joins that list.
First Peek at the Vistiq
The Vistiq—which we can't help but think sounds like a prescription for itchy eyes—is easy on our peepers, as it's a handsomely styled three-row SUV. Cadillac says it will slot between the mid-size Lyriq and the larger Escalade IQ. We don't currently know any of the Vistiq's dimensions, but judging by that piece of information as well as what we can see in the photos, it likely will be similar in size to the gas-powered three-row mid-size XT6 SUV.
From what we can also tell by the only two images Cadillac has released of the Vistiq, it has a tall greenhouse that looks to provide decent headroom for all three rows. Its smooth body sides have pop-out door handles, there's a tasteful amount of shiny adornments, and its illuminated grille and exterior lighting elements imitate the look of the units seen on the Lyriq and Escalade IQ. A closer inspection of the Vistiq's rolling stock reveals a set of 22-inch wheels mounted on Michelin Pilot Sport all-seasons sized 295/40ZR-20 in back.
Vistiq's Potential Powertrain
The Visitq seen in this photos features a "600E4" badge on its tailgate. While we don't have any official powertrain details, that suggests it shares a dual-motor setup with the Lyriq 600E4. That all-wheel-drive model boasts 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. We'd imagine the bigger Vistiq would be at least equally powerful. Like the Lyriq, the Vistiq is based on GM's Ultium battery platform, so it's possible it will also be offered with a less powerful rear-wheel-drive configuration.
Cadillac says more details about the 2025 Vistiq, such as its available features and pricing, will be announced sometime next year. That's also when we expect it to enter production.
