2025 Ford Bronco Sport Looks to Adopt the Mustang's Touchscreen
A disguised Ford Bronco Sport prototype was caught with a large touchscreen that looks like the Ford Mustang's 13.2-inch Sync 4 system.
The Bronco Sport also wore Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, different from the Falken WildPeak set on the current Badlands trim.
While our spy photos don't show any other obvious changes, expect to see some refreshed styling for the 2025 model year.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is due for a mid-cycle refresh, and that looks to include a bigger touchscreen and possibly a new off-road trim. With camouflaged prototypes roaming around on public streets, our spy photographer captured a couple interesting details that foreshadow notable changes to the baby Bronco.
Larger Touchscreen
The Bronco Sport shares a platform with the Ford Escape, which received a host of updates for the 2023 model year, including a newly available 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. That same display featuring Ford's Sync 4 software debuted on the new-for-2024 Mustang, and now it looks to be heading to the Bronco Sport's dashboard.
The new touchscreen is considerably bigger than the 8.0-inch Sync 3 unit that's currently standard on all Bronco Sport trim levels. While we don't know for sure, it's possible that the smaller display remains standard on lower-spec versions, which is the case with the Escape's lineup.
In the Bronco Sport, the extra-wide touchscreen takes over the real estate where the vertically oriented air vents are located. That suggests they'll be moved down lower on the center stack, most likely in a horizontal fashion. It remains to be seen if the HVAC controls will see any revisions.
