2025 Porsche Taycan Lineup Grows with New Taycan 4 and GTS Models
The 2025 Porsche Taycan lineup just grew by two models—or three, depending on your preferred way of counting.
An all-wheel-drive Taycan 4 joins the less expensive side of the lineup, while there's a new GTS model in sedan and Sport Turismo form on the sportier end.
The 4 starts at $105,295, while the GTS sedan starts at $149,895 and the GTS Sport Turismo starts at $151,795. All three models can be ordered now.
As much as we enjoyed the first iteration of the Porsche Taycan, we were still excited by this year's mid-cycle refresh that included new batteries along with a new rear electric motor. The Taycan's 2025 changes don't end there though, with Porsche now announcing multiple new trim levels for the popular electric sedan that include an all-wheel-drive version of the base sedan and a new pair of GTS models.
Until now, the Taycan's base sedan was only available with a single rear-mounted electric motor that produces between 402 and 429 horsepower. Now the base sedan can be equipped to match the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo with all-wheel drive and a second electric motor for the front axle.
The addition of the front motor doesn't do anything to the 4's power, but it does improve the Taycan 4's acceleration, chopping 0.1 second off the zero-to-60 time and bringing it down to 4.4 seconds. When traction and driving dynamics allow it, the front motor is decoupled from the wheels to improve efficiency.
On the sportier side of the lineup, Porsche added a new pair of GTS models in both sedan and Sport Turismo guise. With launch control engaged, the GTS models get a 93-hp boost that brings them to a total of 690—100 hp more than the previous GTS models. Both the sedan and Sport Turismo can sprint to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds making them 0.4 second faster than the previous GTS models.
From a styling standpoint, the GTS models are set apart by high-gloss black paint on the front and rear aprons as well as the base of the mirrors. The interior of the GTS models pulls from the top-dog Turbo GT trim, including standard 18-way adjustable adaptive sports seats, the GT's sport steering wheel, and the Sport Chrono package.
GTS models get a unique chassis calibration and optional rear-axle steering that the automaker says lends to the cars' sporty character. They ride on Porsche's Active Suspension Management (PASM) system as a standard feature, but an active ride suspension with GTS-specific tuning is also available.
Both new models are available to order now, with Porsche expecting dealerships to take delivery near the end of the first quarter of 2025. The all-wheel-drive Taycan 4 sedan starts at $105,295, while the GTS sedan starts at $149,895 and the GTS Sport Turismo starts at $151,795. Along with the new models, Porsche added a trio of colors to the lineup: Slate Grey Neo, Pale Blue Metallic, and Purple Sky Metallic.
