If the refreshed Porsche Taycan wasn’t enough for you, Porsche is cranking up the Taycan’s performance to new heights. Meet the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and the even more audacious Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package models.

The latest Taycan variant adds power, shaves weight, and is targeting the racetrack. This new Porsche Taycan has already laid down impressive lap times at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca and the famed Nordschleife at the Nürburgring.

Building on the upgrades for the rest of the Taycan lineup, Porsche massaged more oomph out of the revised Taycan with an upgraded pulse inverter. At peak power, this Porsche can send 1092 hp to the wheels. Unlocking all of that power can only happen after setting up the Taycan GT’s launch mode, which raises peak power to 1019 hp.

For a staggering two seconds, Porsche will unlock all 1092 ponies during a launch. That helps the Taycan GT sprint to 60 mph in a brisk 2.1 seconds when optioned with the Weissach package. Without that performance package, the Taycan GT hustles to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds.

If you’re wondering how Porsche implemented the Weissach package on the GT—a package famous for its hardcore track-focused nature—it’s simple: Engineers put the Taycan GT on a diet, shaving 157 pounds off the curb weight. This package gets rid of the soft-closing doors and trunk lid, opts for a lightweight luggage compartment, and ditches the rear seat.

There’s also less insulation, no analog clock, and no floor mats. A lone charge port on the passenger side with a manual opening door also helps save some weight. You can even delete the speakers in the rear of the cabin.

Alongside the weight savings, Porsche added aero pieces to help your track time. This Taycan can generate up to 485 pounds of downforce across its body, thanks to a new diffuser at the front, underbody aero, and a fixed rear wing.

Letting the world know you have the hardcore version of the Taycan GT, Porsche will slap the Weissach logo onto the end plates of this rear wing.

As you’d expect, this high-performance Taycan rides on a set of special performance tires that wrap a standard set of lightweight 21-inch forged aluminum wheels.

Sitting behind those wheels is a set of lightweight brakes that are based on the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system. The standard Porsche Active Ride suspension rounds out the performance upgrades.

While this all sounds fine and good on paper, you might wonder how this all translates to actual performance. Well, apparently, it translates well. Porsche claims to have lapped the Nordschleife in 7:07.55 in pre-production form.

Moving stateside, Porsche lapped Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in 1:27.87. That bests the impressive Unplugged Performance Tesla Model S that lapped the same track in 1:28.2.

Porsche says the Taycan Turbo GT and the model with the optional Weissach package are scheduled to hit dealers this summer for a cool $230,000 before you add the required $1995 destination charge.

If you’re confused, don’t be: the Weissach package is a no-cost option for the Taycan Turbo GT. Of course, that starting price can rise to your heart’s content through Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur or Sonderwunsch programs.
