Yahoo Autos This 24-Year-Old Keeps French Sports Cars Alive
Back in the 1980s, a company called Venturi was founded with the goal of creating a a true French GT car that could compete with the likes of Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Porsche. Though the cars were good, the company went bankrupt in 2000 due to poor sales.
Even though the Venturi name remains relatively unknown, there's still a select group of die-hards out there making sure the fantastic cars stay around for years to come. Petrolicious caught up with one owner, 24-year old Geordan Fusi, who describes how his father helped him fall in love with the brand.
Fusi's father worked for Venturi during the company's early years, showing him pictures of the shop and its hand-built masterpieces. Eventually, Fusi's father found him a Venturi 260 APC to buy, and he couldn't help but jump on it.
Now, thanks to the technical know-how of his father and their shared passion, they bring the car to vintage shows and rallies around France, spreading the love for true French motoring everywhere they go.
