How a $250,000 Porsche 356 Speedster Ended up Stored in a Texas Woman's Garage

From Road & Track

The 911 may be the most well-known Porsche, but before the 911, Porsche built another legend-the 356 Speedster. And over the years, what started as a relatively affordable sports car became an incredibly desirable collector's car. Today a numbers-matching 356 can easily go for several hundred thousand dollars.

But to this Texas woman, the cash value of the car in her garage isn't what matters. It's a reminder of her husband, who bought it back in the mid-60s. It may be a little dustier than it was back then, but more than a half-century later, the little Porsche is still with the family.

Listen to her tell the story of meeting her husband, the car, and how much it means to her as she chats with Hagerty host Tom Cotter. It's a heart-warming story, but be warned. You might end up with a little bit of that dust in your own eye.
