The winner of our Best Car Vacuums of 2022, Tested was the reliable Dustbuster. Our hands-on testing also showed great results with the eufy by Anker HomeVac H30. Although it's more expensive than the Dustbuster, its sleek design and light weight made it a pleasure to use in the car.

LED Shop Light

Working in your garage is pointless unless you can see what you're doing. That's where these linkable LED shop lights come in, where you can connect up to six in series. They aren't the brightest lights in the world—emitting 4,000 lumens per light—but the linkable function can light up your garage or workspace easily. We tried one out and noted that the mounting chains are included—a nice addition. For the price, these are tough to beat.

MAX360C Laser Radar Detector

If your favorite car lover is interested in new ways to avoid speeding tickets, consider gifting this top-of-the-line radar detector from Escort. It was our top pick in our most recent radar detector test, and you can read our full review here. While it's not cheap, it just might be the very best on the market.

For a more affordable option, try the Uniden DFR1. It's not as feature-laden as the Escort, but the price is sure tough to beat.

CoolStart Remote Start System

If your favorite driver lives in a harsh climate or drives an older vehicle, consider gifting this affordable remote start system. You get two transmitter key fobs to start, stop, and unlock vehicles up to 1500 feet away. It's a bare-bones option, but is useful to get the AC or heater up and running when the weather is extreme. Don't be afraid to have a professional install these systems—they can be daunting.

Keeping a good first aid kit in your vehicle is an excellent idea, and this one from My Medic and Popular Mechanics checks all the boxes. Including a ton of life-saving items like a tourniquet, oodles of bandages, and a window breaker, it fits neatly in a glovebox or trunk.

The contents are also color-coded to certain emergency categories like burn, bleed, airway, and more for easy identification in a jam. Keeping this close by might save you or your passenger's life.

Premium Car Cover

This all-weather, UV-protective, 18-layer iCarCover comes in multiple sizes to fit cars of all types. Weatherproof, fitted, and durable, it makes a great gift that's useful and affordable.

For our money, AmazonBasics car covers are a decent, less spendy option. Made of heavy-duty marine-grade 150-denier Oxford polyester, they also come in multiple sizes to fit most any car.

Yep, it's silly alright. But funnier than a Crown Royal bag. Plenty of colors are available.

In our Pressure Washers Test, this Craftsman CMEPW2100 power washer was the best. It takes the cake thanks to a psi range that covers all but the most challenging jobs. We liked how the sprayer felt, and all additional parts are stored easily on the unit itself.

The CMEPW2100 is also one of the quietest pressure washers we tested, which is nice for extended use. This didn't affect the pressures though, as we recorded respectable psi readings for an electric option.

To get rid of smells in your car, most products simply cover the odors with a pleasant scent. Cigarette smoke, pet smells, you name it—this thing can remove them.

Rocky Talkie Mountain Radio

A favorite among overlanders, cross-country skiers, and anyone else who occasionally finds themselves far from cell service, Rocky Talkie Mountain Radios are ideal for any adventure where communication is critical. Amazon is flush with rooftop cargo carriers in all shapes, sizes, and colors. We chose this Amazon Basics bag because it's black, big, and basic. With 15 cubic feet of storage, it's waterproof and comes with stay-dry flaps over its zipper opening. It also features a one-year warranty. For the occasional road tripper, it's ideal.

For more secure storage, you can't go wrong with a hardshell Thule. Its Motion XT cargo carrier comes in four sizes to suit any excursion.

GPS Car Tracker

If you're a worried parent of a new driver or the concerned child of an older one, keeping tabs on the location of your loved one's vehicle with a GPS Car Tracker can help. Bouncie plugs into the OBD-II port in any car, and for just $8 a month updates a vehicle's location every 15 seconds while it's moving. Not only can you keep tabs on the vehicle via Google Maps, but you'll get real-time notifications in the event of an accident.

But there's no need to spend a lot on a vehicle tracker, or even sign up for a monthly data subscription. Apple AirTags are great for iPhone users and very affordable.
