These Are the 38 Safest New Cars You Can Buy
The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety went through all the 2017 models it could, crashing cars, measuring automatic braking performance and testing headlights. For the 2017 model year, 38 cars got their Top Safety Pick+ rating. Of those, only seven are available with headlights that earned a good rating, while twenty-one come with a standard autobrake system.
