We're not going to pretend that this 1995 Ferrari 456 is in great shape. We're also not going to pretend that buying a 22-year-old Ferrari for the price of a new Camaro SS is a sensible idea. However, you've got to admit, $39,950 is quite a bargain for a real-deal Ferrari with a V12 and a six-speed manual with a gated shifter.

Why so cheap? Mileage likely has something to do with it. Ferrari collectors are notoriously uninterested in high-mileage cars, and this 456 has done a little over 80,000 in its lifetime. Despite that, the seller claims the 456 drives without any issues other than A/C that doesn't blow cold. There are some stone chips on the front bumper, and the non-original black-painted wheels aren't in great shape either.

The buyer will probably also want to replace this 456's Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, since they appear to be wearing out. Inside, the seller notes wear on the driver's seat bolster, but otherwise, the interior appears to be in decent shape. The complete original toolkit is also included in the sale.

The 456 is far from being Ferrari's most loved car, but it still has a lot to offer. Its 5.5-liter V12 produces 436 horsepower, it seats four comfortably, and it's got elegant Pininfarina styling that has aged much more gracefully than most other cars from 1995.

You'd have to be pretty brave to buy this bargain-priced Ferrari, but it's a risk that could pay off. Any other manual-transmission V12 Ferrari you can find will likely cost twice as much, and it's not like you can buy a new Ferrari with a third pedal and a gated shifter.
