There might be some kids who refuse to take on the responsibility, but there are plenty more like this 9-year-old in Oroville, California who want to start driving while they’re still in grade school.

A California Highway Patrol officer got the shock of his life after he found what he thought was a reckless and possibly intoxicated driver was in fact a young child. We guess stuff like this helps keep the job interesting.
According to a ABC7, the 9-year-old boy was stopped in the middle of an intersection and that’s what caught the CHP officer’s attention. Turning on his PA system he ordered the driver to clear the intersection, which he did.
