Acura NSX Production Officially EndsAcura

Acura officially ended NSX production Wednesday, the company announced. The last NSX, a Type S painted in matte Gotham Gray, will be sold to a private customer.

The second-generation NSX had an interesting life. Introduced in 2016 to replace the iconic original, it won our Performance Car of the Year award in 2017 thanks to its, at the time, revolutionary three-motor hybrid powertrain and wonderful twin-turbo V-6.

Though sales numbers were dwarfed by competitors, the NSX managed to stick around for over six years, with roughly 1800 cars built, according to carsalesbase.com. A good chunk of those figures come from the NSX Type S, introduced in 2021 in a limited run of 350 cars. The Type S you see here is marked No. 350 of 350.
