With a lineup consisting of the MDX, RDX, and ZDX, you'd think the Honda's luxury wing would be set as far as crossovers go. However, with a relatively small sales volume ratio compared to the presiding Honda figures, Acura appeals to a very specific market of buyers. The brand is hoping to expand that.

To do so, Acura is apparently thinking small. On Tuesday, the luxury brand confirmed the impending reveal of its ADX crossover model. The ADX will be an all-new nameplate for Acura, but the foundation of the subcompact crossover model may not be all that novel. That's because Acura says the ADX will "build on success" of the legendary Integra sedan, creating a family tree leading from the Honda Civic. Details are scarce about the platform and commonalities with its sedan siblings, but Acura's messaging about the incoming crossover is clear.

"The 2025 Acura ADX will add a fourth SUV to our lineup and a new gateway model ready to build on the incredible success of Integra, helping make Acura a destination brand for a new generation of buyers," said Emile Korkor, assistant vice president of Acura National Sales. "With the first-ever ADX and all-electric ZDX, the Acura lineup will have SUVs covered from A to Z."
