Alfa Romeo Will Reportedly Make a Giulia Wagon

From Road & Track

The Alfa Romeo Giulia promises to be one of the best sports sedans in the world, but you know what's better than a sport sedan? A sport wagon. Alfa Romeo recognizes this and will reportedly offer a Giulia wagon alongside the sedan.

Automotive News reports that the Giulia wagon will be launched before the end of 2017. Unfortunately, the report says there's "no word" on whether it will be sold outside Europe. Wagons are very popular in Europe, but U.S. customers vastly prefer SUVs, which is why Alfa will debut its first-ever SUV, the Stelvio, at the LA Auto Show next month. In Europe, the Giulia's main rivals–the Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, and BMW 3-Series–offer wagon variants, though only the 3-Series is available in the U. S.

Given that wagons are such a niche market in the U.S., it seems highly doubtful that we'll get a Giulia wagon here. We're just thankful we're getting a new Alfa Romeo at all.
