What's the Best New Performance Car Under $50,000?

Just because you don't have six figures to spend on a brand new sports car, doesn't mean there's nothing out there for you. There are a bunch of fun cars under $50,000 worth buying. Which one do you think is best?

For me, it would have to be the $44,995 Chevy Camaro SS 1LE. I'm not sure there's any other new performance car out there right now that offers the same combination of performance, good looks, and sound for the money. And with the Corvette's 460-horsepower V8 under the hood, reliability and aftermarket support should be covered too.

Now we'd like to know: Which performance car under $50,000 do you think is the best buy? It doesn't have to be something big or powerful like the Camaro above, either-it could be anything, as long as it's a performance-oriented car you can buy new today under $50,000.
