Though the concept of a hybrid is taboo for some enthusiasts, there are a bunch of battery-assisted cars out there worth paying attention to. Which is your favorite?

Of course, some of today's most powerful hypercars are hybrids. Cars like the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Koenigsegg Regera all use battery power to go down the road at ungodly speeds.

But my personal favorite has to be the first-gen Honda Insight. It's no 1000-horsepower hypercar, but it's not nearly as boring as a Prius. It had futuristic looks, a quirky three-cylinder engine, and even an available manual transmission. An enthusiast's hybrid if there ever was one. The best part? Insights can be found dirt cheap on the used market. If you need a cheap, efficient commuter car, it remains a solid buy.

Now we'd like to know: Which hybrid do you like the most? It doesn't have to be something cheap or basic like the Insight, either-your choice could be anything, as long as it uses a hybrid powertrain. It could even be something that isn't street-legal, if that's more your thing. Let us know in the comments below.
