We’re so very sorry for sharing this atrocity…

Some things you just can’t unsee no matter how much eye bleach you use. We’ve shared quite a few artist renderings on Motorious, some good, some bad, and some even worse. However, this one of a modern second-generation Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most stomach-turning of the bunch. We even debated if it would be socially responsible to share this with readers, but in the end we wanted all of you to be the judge of whether this is a good thing or not.

Instagram user wb.artist20 decided to mash up the current Camaro with a second-gen, resulting in the atrocity you see. Among the vintage design elements slapped onto the modern muscle car are the headlights, or some derivation of them with LED halos, pointy nose, and T-top roof. However, the prominent lower grille and foglights really muck with the look, we think.

We get it, some people just love the look of the second-generation Camaros – there’s nothing wrong with that. Most people prefer the first generation, but if you like the pointy front fascia sunken headlights that’s totally cool. None of this is to say you can’t have your preference about Camaro generations, but this… thing is just wrong on so many levels.

Mixing vintage and modern design in this cobbled-together, duckbill platypus sort of way feels just wrong. Maybe 20 years ago people would’ve gotten excited about this kind of a mashup, but today where we have so many good-looking performance cars available, it’s not a great thing in our opinion.

Of course, there are a lot of critics of how the sixth-gen Camaros look. Judging from sales alone, not many seem to be fans of the modern design, but is this really any better? Let us know. Are you a fan of this rendering or is it the thing that should not be?
