Ariana Madix Just Landed a Major Acting Role, and We Have the Details

Ariana Madix has a major career update. The Vanderpump Rules cast member is set to star in a film… and she’ll be playing a cop! That’s right: The cocktail expert will lay down the law in a new scripted production.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie’s working title is Buying Back My Daughter. Also starring Meagan Good, the Lifetime film centers on a couple searching for their 16-year-old daughter, who’s gone missing.

Ariana plays Karen, a police officer who assists with the case and has a personal interest in it. The film delves into topics such as human sex trafficking and is part of Lifetime’s “Ripped from the Headlines” series.

This isn’t the first time Ariana has acted. The Florida native has appeared in TV shows such as Paradise City and The Other Two. In 2019, she appeared in the Vivica A. Fox crime thriller Dead End.

Of course, acting is just one of Ariana’s many talents. She also sings, crafts cloudberry cocktails, and — as Bravo fans know —  there’s just something about her sandwiches.

We Have Exciting News About Ariana Madix & Katie Maloney’s Sandwich Shop

Along with her friend and Vanderpump Rules castmate Katie Maloney, Ariana has been hard at work on opening a new sandwich shop. The shop isn’t open just yet (more on that below), but the merch has arrived. Naturally, it’s delicious.

In a March 7 Instagram Story, Katie teased that she had something “really cool to announce” the next day. As promised, on March 8, the official Something About Her merchandise launched online. The collection includes four crewneck sweatshirts ($49.99 each), three T-shirts ($34.99 each), four hats ($29.99 each), and three phone cases ($18.99 each).

However, fans will have to wait a bit longer to sink their teeth into Something About Her’s menu items. The shop is set to open later this year. In the meantime, friends and family have had the opportunity to sample its goods.

In September, Lala Kent and Kristina Kelly shared Instagram Stories from an event that let them sample some of the forthcoming eatery’s menu items. “I’ve been training for this day,” Lala quipped in a photo caption. “Something About Her sandwich tasting.” After trying the food, Lala declared in a separate Story photo, “Y’all are not ready. I have never in my life.”

According to another Instagram Story that Katie reposted, the menu includes a spicy turkey sandwich. In May, Ariana shared with BravoTV.com at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation that she wanted to create “a sandwich that involves lots of hot peppers and anything salty, pickled.”

However, as Katie explained during a May episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, the business will “be more than just sandwiches.”

“We want it to have its own vibe, its own personality,” she shared. “A little bit of, like, retail… a wine [and] beer bar, but maybe cocktails as well, depending on the space and if it has the permit for it.”
