Armed Robbery Foiled When Getaway Car Is Stolen by Another Thief

Three armed and masked individuals allegedly robbed a check-cashing business in Colorado on Saturday morning. While they were inside, another thief stole their getaway vehicle and left them stranded, police said. Two of the three armed suspects were apprehended. No one was injured as a result of this crime.

The trio of armed individuals allegedly robbed the Hi Lo Check Cashing business in Commerce City, Colorado at around 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Commerce City Police Department believes that the would-be getaway vehicle may have also previously been stolen by the armed robbers, but authorities are still investigating that possibility. Police are also still working on obtaining a description of the vehicle.

The lack of a getaway vehicle allowed officers to quickly chase down two of the suspects in the armed robbery. The investigation is still ongoing. Police are looking for the third suspect in the armed robbery as well as the person who stole the vehicle.
