Yahoo Autos Arrest Warrant Issued for Motorcyclist Who Posted Video Topping 170 MPH in Colorado: Police
An arrest warrant has been issued for a Texas man who police say posted a video of himself on YouTube speeding through Colorado on his motorcycle. The now-removed video was titled “From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 Minutes,” and is now in the hands of Colorado prosecutors. The man is facing several charges, including reckless endangerment, according to a 9 News report.
The speeding motorcyclist has been identified as Rendon Dietzmann, according to police. Dietzmann is a 32-year-old man from Texas. The viral video that got him in hot water was filmed on Interstate 25 between Colorado Springs and Denver. It appears to show him reaching speeds of over 170 mph along the way.
His arrest warrant contains seven charges which are: menacing, engaging in a speed contest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding 40 mph over prima facie limit, engaging in an exhibition of speed, and vehicle having no number plates attached.
The last charge is interesting. There were no number plates attached, presumably to make Dietzmann harder to track down. But then he allegedly uploads a video of himself speeding at over 170 mph on his YouTube channel.
Colorado State Patrol worked with investigators in Dallas to track the video back to Dietzmann.
“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” stated Colorado State Patrol sergeant Troy Kessler.
Dietzmann is known as Gixxer Brah on YouTube and Instagram. His posts on both platforms are full of bike stunts and high-speed runs. Both accounts remain active with his most recent YouTube video uploaded just two days ago. His riding skills are impressive, and we all can appreciate the thrill of speed. However, traveling at these speeds on a crowded interstate and then posting the illegal activity online is not wise.
