  • The Aston Martin DBX707 AMR24 pays tribute to the automaker's race car that currently competes in Formula 1.

  • The special edition can be had in Podium Green with Lime Green accents, just like the DBX that is used as F1's official medical car.

  • The twin-turbo V-8 is unchanged, still producing 663 pound-feet of torque and ripping from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds.

The 2024 Formula 1 season is nearly halfway over. To celebrate the brand's fourth year since returning to the top level of open-wheel motorsport in 2021, Aston Martin has created a new special edition for its DBX SUV, which is now offered exclusively in its most potent 697-hp form. The DBX707 AMR24 Edition takes after both the F1 race car, from which it borrows the AMR24 name, and the DBX707 that is used as F1's official medical car.

The AMR24 edition can be painted in Podium Green, Onyx Black, or Neutron White, but the green hue is the most representative of the team's F1 racer. The lower-body trim, which can be fashioned in either gloss black or carbon fiber, receives eye-catching accents in either Lime Green or Trophy Silver. Meanwhile, the brake calipers can be colored in either Aston Martin Racing Green or Lime. They hide behind a set of 23-inch wheels finished in either satin or gloss black. Under the hood, a plaque on the engine distinguishes this DBX's special nature.

The cabin is decked out in similar colors, with two combinations available. Buyers can spec Onyx Black upholstery with Lime stitching and piping or a two-tone look that adds in Eifel Green while retaining the Lime contrast stitching. Shoppers can also choose trim consisting of carbon fiber and dark chrome or a titanium mesh with satin chrome. The dashboard displays an Aston Martin logo while the door sills are etched with "AMR24." The wireless charging pad gains a hand-stitched saddle strap in Lime.

There are no changes to the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine, which continues to pump out 697 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque through a nine-speed automatic transmission. With all four wheels receiving power, the DBX707 launches from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, eventually topping out at 193 mph.

Aston Martin says that orders are now open for the DBX707 AMR24 Edition but did not specify a price nor how many units of the special edition will be built. If the F1 Edition of the Vantage sports car is any indication, expect the motorsports-inspired SUV to command a nearly $30,000 premium.
