How Auburn basketball fans, national media reacted to SEC Tournament loss vs. Texas A&M
Auburn basketball fell to Texas A&M 67-62 in the quarterfinals of the 2022 SEC Tournament on Friday in Tampa, Florida.
No. 1-seeded Auburn fell behind by 16 at halftime, then by 20 early in the second half. The Tigers were struggling to hit shots before going on a run that brought the score to within 5 points with less than 30 seconds to go.
Auburn was led by Jabari Smith with 17 points and Walker Kessler with 16 points. Both players grabbed nine rebounds apiece.
The Tigers were in a position to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but that is now in the air with Selection Sunday looming.

Better discussion might be what happens with the fourth 1-seed. Baylor was locked-in until it lost yesterday. Auburn was poised to take its place -- and now they've lost.
