  • Farrah is an OnlyFans creator who made $1 million in revenue over two years on the platform.

  • She only shows her face for a premium as an incentive for fans to upgrade their subscriptions.

  • Other strategies she uses include posting frequently on Reddit and promoting with other creators.

If you want to see Farrah's face on OnlyFans, you'll have to pay for it.

The creator, who goes by her first name on OnlyFans to protect her privacy, initially hadn't planned to show her face on the platform when she joined in 2021, but found that doing so for select subscribers incentivized them to pay more for her content.

She now shows her face on her $30-per-month premium OnlyFans page, @nofacemom77vip. She also does so in custom content — she charges between $100 and $200 — on her main page, @nofacemom77, which costs $5 per month to subscribe to.

In the two years she's been posting on OnlyFans, Farrah, 45, has made a total of $1 million before the 20% cut the company takes. She took home $800,424. Insider confirmed this with a screenshot of Farrah's earnings statement since she started on OnlyFans. She currently has 3,500 subscribers.

"The fact that I could create that kind of revenue in two years after doing what I was doing for 20 years, and not really hitting that," Farrah told Insider. "It reminded me that this is something that I could do, and that I enjoy doing, and could also gave me a ton of flexibility."

Farrah said she worked in the healthcare industry before a friend introduced her to OnlyFans and showed her how lucrative it could be. She quit her job to focus on the platform, starting with lifestyle content like posting pictures of herself exercising or running errands before venturing into adult content.

She thought at first that being faceless would give her page more of an allure, but the structure she came up with ended up being more enticing.

She uses social platforms like Reddit to promote her page, but saves messaging for OnlyFans

Farrah uses social platforms like Reddit and Twitter to promote her OnlyFans pages. She said Reddit is her go-to and is where most of her subscribers come from.

On a typical day, she'll post in the morning on eight to 10 subreddits. She frequents the subreddits, styled as r/milf, r/fitnakedgirls, and r/Impressive_Apricot37, which she runs. If her posts aren't getting engagement, she'll try other subreddits around midday.

"I find unless you're at the top of a subreddit in the morning, you don't really get a ton of traffic," Farrah said.

Although she is active on Reddit, Farrah does not typically respond to commenters there. She saves those interactions for OnlyFans, where she offers a personalized chatting experience. Farrah said messaging and custom content make up half of her OnlyFans income, with subscriptions making up about 40% and tips comprising the remaining 10%.

"They can really ask me anything ... from business stuff to dating stuff to lifestyle stuff," Farrah said. "They know it's kind of an open forum and it's a safe place to talk about those things."

Farrah said she also feels more comfortable interacting on OnlyFans than on other platforms.

"OnlyFans is really a safe place. You're talking to people, they're verified, you know they're OK to be there," Farrah said. "We're both kind of on the same level with what's OK and what's not."

To stay on top of posting on OnlyFans, Farrah banks about a week's worth of content she can use on days when she is too busy to film. But she prefers to post fresh content when she can.

"I like people to be in the loop of my day-to-day," Farrah said. "In the morning, I get up and I work out so there's always a morning workout picture. Then, I'm maybe going out to run an errand and I'll snap a cute pic of what I'm wearing out to the supermarket or something."

Farrah has also grown her platform by collaborating with other content creators, from making videos together to "shoutout" promotions. She's also gotten tips from other creators. For instance, she learned "good morning" messages are a good way to interact with subscribers consistently.

Faceless OnlyFans creators often have a difficult time building their platforms

Farrah has worked with other OnlyFans creators who choose not to show their faces and seen firsthand how tricky it can be to navigate on the platform. She's found that fans are less trusting and willing to engage with faceless accounts. Thus, many creators eventually decide to show their faces.

But she's also observed creators who have full-time jobs outside of OnlyFans, including several male creators she knows, who have committed to remaining faceless to protect their career prospects.

"They have some type of other professional career on the side, so just for that reason they have to keep their face out of it," Farrah said. "They can't cross that line until they're in it full time."

Through her premium structure, Farrah has found a balance by making the face reveal part of her business model.

"That's still been a good business model for me, where there is that premium of coming to my page and getting to see my face," Farrah said. "It is an incentive for people to stay and really kind of get to know the whole me."
