Yahoo Autos Bearded Dude In Turbo Miata Keeps Up With 911 GT3 RS, Ferrari 458 at the 'Ring
Welcome back to another episode of Miata Embarrasses Much Faster Cars on Track! For today's installment, we go to the famous Nürburgring Nordschliefe in Germany where we have a turbocharged Miata keeping pace with a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a Ferrari 458 Italia.
This video comes to us from YouTube channel OneLapHeroes, which posts all sorts of videos from the 'Ring. The very bearded Miata driver never manages to pass the Porsche or the Ferrari, but even in spite of his car's gear-limited top speed of 136 mph, he does a fine job of staying on their tails.
Of course, it has to be said that what we're watching here isn't a race, but an open track day. It's pretty likely that the skilled driver of the cheap Miata is pushing his car much harder than the drivers of the expensive sports cars. Still, one can't help but root for the little guy here.
