Work begins on new Andretti Global headquarters
Construction has commenced on Andretti Global’s massive new shop and commercial base in Fishers, Indiana. The development comes after the team owned by Michael Andretti broke ground on the 90-acre property in December of 2022, but spent the following year idling while a few hurdles were cleared.
The grand 575,000 square-foot facility will take more than a year to complete. Due to the delayed start to the building process, and the need to move from its current shop by the end of the year, the team will focus on having the operations side of the Fishers construction finished first to accommodate the move before 2025 arrives.
With the Arrow McLaren NTT IndyCar Series team having purchased Andretti’s existing shop and signed to take over on January 1, the rest of the property build, which will feature an Andretti racing museum, will follow after Andretti’s racing teams are relocated.
“The movement on that location is us,” a team representative told RACER. “We took some time to really just reimagine and elevate some of our designs and planning and thinking, and are really going at it with a phased approach.
“The initial activity will be relative to the portions of the project for our current for our existing racing teams. While the entirety of the project is still in full focus, the activation that you’re seeing is prioritizing that 2025 move-in date for our IndyCar, Indy NXT, and IMSA teams.”
