Bentley Will Outfit Your Yacht Now, Which Means Orcas Have The Chance To Do The Funniest Thing Possible
Bentley Motors and Contest Yachts have announced a collaboration on a yacht with a Bentley-designed interior that was created for a mutual client. The 66-foot Contest 67CS has an entirely custom interior created by Bentley designers “based on the materials and techniques used in Bentley cars.” The release didn’t say how much the buyer paid to commission a Bentley-designed yacht of that size, but something tells us that if you’re commissioning yachts, money doesn’t really matter to you anymore.
Looking at the photos, it’s actually a very nicely designed yacht that’s a lot more modern and minimalist than you might expect from the British automaker. Don’t worry, though. “Bentley’s iconic diamond quilted hides were book matched across the entire vessel interior with details such as the tissue box and drinks coasters created from scratch to the customer’s taste. Specialist techniques such as hand cross stitching, usually used to produce the Bentley steering wheel were adapted and adopted throughout.”

We are delighted to be working with Bentley Motors, adding the option of fully matched Bentley auto and yacht interiors to our portfolio. Previously for an enthusiast of both Contest and Bentley brands we styled and fabricated a one-off example of our Contest 59CS. This new arrangement, though, takes our cooperation to quite another level, creating the option of an additional dedicated line of Bentley-featured Contest Yachts. We hold so many of the same beliefs and ambitions, it totally makes sense bringing our two fantastic ranges of prestigious luxury yachts and autos together.
As nice as the interior looks, though, don’t pretend there isn’t at least a small part of you that would love to see a “Custom Bentley Yacht Sunk By Killer Wales Off Coast Of Mallorca” headline in the near future. Come on, orcas. Don’t let us down. We need this. Need.
