This Is Our Best Look at the 2017 WRC Season Yet

From Road & Track

380 horsepower. That's how much everybody should've had against Volkswagen's ponies during the 2017 World Rally Championship. Unfortunately, the German brand decided to leave the series despite having a car ready to go. That's quite crazy, but not surprising given that Audi's R18 LMP1 chassis for the 2017 WEC season was also ready for Toyota and Porsche when they pulled the plug on it. That's crazy, but so is the whole seemingly never-ending Dieselgate story.

Following that sudden turn of events, it all comes down to Hyundai to build momentum for its N performance brand, Citroën to push their brand new C3 racer to victory, M-Sport to bring back Ford's glory days and Toyota to show what they can do with Tommi Mäkinen as team principal after a 17-year break.
