In the warmer months, I prefer chinos to jeans because they’re more lightweight, give a much cleaner and polished look and are much more versatile. With so many men’s chino options, it’s almost impossible to find one that fits just right without trying it on first, but somehow, the folks at Bonobos found a way to take out the guessing with its Stretch Washed Chino 2.0.

These are, hands down, the best chinos I’ve ever worn. They’re soft, extremely comfortable, thoughtfully designed, stretchy and, best of all, come in five fits (more on that below)!

These stretchy men's chinos come in five different fit styles, over 20 colors, and waist sizes range from 28 to 46. Prices range from $59 to $99.

So, here’s why I’ll never stop recommending these chinos to my friends (or, really, anyone who asks). The Bonobos Stretch Washed Chino 2.0 is the brand’s No. 1 best-selling chino and recently added non-iron, four-way stretch and a secure secret zip pocket seamlessly built into a seam (pictured above).

However, its pant fit options set these apart from other chinos from popular brands like Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch, Buck Mason, and even ASOS.

When selecting your waist size, color preference and more, you can choose from five pant fits to ensure the best fit for your body type.

Choose from tailored, slim taper, slim, athletic and straight.

I’ve outlined the differences between the fit types below so you’ll know exactly which is right for you:

  • Tailored: This one’s my personal favorite. It’s trimmer in the hips, then narrows from the thigh down.

  • Slim: This is the brand’s most popular fit. It’s trim enough to remove any billowing with a slight leg taper.

  • Slim Taper: These are the same as Slim but have a distinct taper from the thigh down. These also have the most narrow leg opening of the five.

  • Athletic: Best for muscular builds, this fit has more room in the seat and thigh with a slight, sleek leg taper.

  • Straight: This fit’s roomier throughout the thigh, then stays straight. If you’re looking for the fit with the widest leg opening, this is the one to buy.

In addition to allowing you to customize your fit, Bonobos created the Stretch Washed Chino 2.0 for easy movement. It flexes in all directions, making it easy to move around without worrying about possibly ripping your pants.

Also, for added comfort, these chinos have a curved waistband that follows the natural shape of your hips. This prevents that annoying and unflattering snagging that usually happens when you wear a belt.

If you’re looking for the absolute best chinos that you’ll love wearing day in and day out, these are the ones to buy. They’re so good that I already have another pair on the way.
