2023 Chevrolet Tahoe

The Chevrolet Tahoe, the GMC Yukon's less luxurious sibling, is capable of pulling the same 8400 pounds using the same 5.3-liter V-8 and Max Trailering Package combo.
Sure, you might get a slightly lower-quality interior with a bit fewer features, but the Tahoe is likely the better choice for most buyers, as it delivers the same core experience for less money.

2023 Chevrolet Suburban

2024 Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery might not be as luxurious as a Range Rover, but it's far cheaper and capable of towing just as much weight, and still comes with three rows and a bunch of other useful features.
Buyers have a choice between a turbo-four or a turbo-six-cylinder engine—obviously you'll have to go for the bigger power plant to get the most towing capacity. When you're not hauling anything, that 355-hp 3.0-liter six-cylinder can rocket the Discovery to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

2024 Cadillac Escalade / Escalade ESV

The Cadillac Escalade rides on the same platform as the Yukon, Tahoe, and Suburban, but isn't able to put up the same towing numbers simply because it isn't available with the base engine.

Don't need all of the space provided by the X7, but still want the same sport-luxury vibe from your tow-capable SUV? Consider the BMW X5 instead.
The X5 delivers nearly the same levels of towing capacity, except in a smaller footprint. That means slightly better fuel economy and driving dynamics, but less space overall. You can option a third row, but if you plan on using it often we suggest jumping to the X7 (unless you hate your passengers).
