May 29, 1939, was a qualifying day for the 1939 Indianapolis 500, and it's coincidentally the day Alfred "Al" Unser was born. "Al is probably the best race driver ever to get in a car and make it work," Parnelli Jones said (see the video clip below). Unser is one of only three men to have won the Indianapolis 500 four times, and the only man to have a brother (Bobby) and son (Al, Jr.) as fellow Indy 500 winners. Happy birthday, Big Al.
