Is This Blue 1992 Ferrari F40 Beautiful or Sacrilegious?

From Road & Track

Ferrari only offered the legendary F40 in Rosso Corsa , but that didn't stop a few owners from having their cars repainted in the color of their choice. The 1992 car pictured above was repainted in this shade of light blue at the Ferrari factory at some point, and presents a strong argument for a non-red F40. If you like this car more than a standard red F40 and have $1.26 million to spare, it can be yours to keep.

This F40 is listed for sale by well-known UK dealer Joe Macari Performance Cars on eBay and is said to only have around 10,500 miles on the clock. In addition to the non-traditional blue hue, this car features an Italian tri-color stripe with a grey border running up the center of the car. Based on the pictures and description, everything else looks stock except the aftermarket three-piece wheels.

The wheels, frankly, would make a Ferrari traditionalist sweat, but this light blue suits the F40 quite well. While I still think I'd rather have a red F40 than this blue one, I definitely get its oddball appeal. It's likely one of the few blue F40s in existence.

But, what do you think: Gorgeous, or sacrilege?
