Johnny Cecotto packed a lot into his career as a racer. He first found success racing motorcycles before moving to cars. After a brief stint in Formula One, he moved to Touring Car racing where he spent more than a decade racing for BMW. And now 25 years after it first hit the track, he says the 1992 M3 DTM car is still the most beautiful one in the world.
Considering how popular the E30 M3 is with enthusiasts, that's not terribly surprising. More than 30 years after its debut, it's still a magical car to drive. But listening to such an accomplished racer explain the details that make the DTM car so great is different. It makes the E30 feel even more special.
Now if only we could convince him to take us out for a ride-along. That would be unforgettable.
