Brabham Automotive Revives Big Motorsport Name

Brabham Is Back
Yesterday, a new company, Brabham Automotive, was teased in a very short press release. Nothing was said specifically about the company's ambitions, but it will be lead by David Brabham, a Le Mans winner and the son of F1 legend Sir. Jack Brabham.
The Brabham F1 team, which existed from 1962 to 1992, was one of the greatest in the sport, powering four driver's championships and kickstarting the careers of impresario Bernie Ecclestone and designer Gordon Murray. Autocar reports that Brabham Automotive is working on creating some sort of car, and that it could possibly buy the Force India F1 team. We'll find out its true intentions soon enough.
Possible Mercedes Defeat Device
Per Automotive News, German paper Bild am Sontag reports that Mercedes used emissions-test cheating defeat devices on diesel-powered cars it sold in the US. The software reportedly limited the use of AdBlue emissions-reducing fluid after 16 miles of driving. Bild says that this allowed NOx emissions 10 times higher than the legal limit.
Volvo's First Three-Cylinder
Volvo debuted its first gas-powered three-cylinder engine yesterday, a 1.5-liter unit called T3. This engine is based of Volvo's current 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which powers all the company's new cars in various states of tune. It debuts in the XC40, but Volvo hasn't announced if this engine will come to the US.
BMW M4 Convertible 30 Jahre
Thirty years ago, BMW launched the M3 convertible, so now, it's celebrating with a special edition of its current M4 convertible. The M4 Convertible 30 Jahre is basically an M4 Competition Package available in unique colors and equipped with some other visual upgrades. Just 300 will be built, and there's no word if any of them are US-bound.
