Budget ADV Bike 2017 Honda CRF250L Rally

The new 2017 Honda CRF250L Rally looks like an adventure bike but at $5899 it sure doesn’t cost the same as one. This smaller version of the Team HRC CRF450 Rally could be a hit with consumers looking for the protection from the elements combined with what is sure to be great fuel economy from the little 250cc Single.

"We're pleased to announce this exciting new CRF250L Rally for 2017," said Lee Edmunds, Manager of Motorcycle Marketing Communications at American Honda. "Adventure touring continues to grow in popularity, and our customers have shown that small-displacement motorcycles can be extremely effective in this application, whether that means making epic journeys or the daily urban commute. We really wanted to build on the capabilities of the CRF250L and open up new opportunities for riders both young and old, and the CRF250 Rally brings the spirit of rally-raid racing to every ride."

Although the Rally is based on the CRF250L, it features a completely unique look with nearly full coverage bodywork around the engine, the tall Dakar Rally inspired front end with asymmetrical headlights and a new LCD dash. The engine gets a few changes too including a larger 38mm throttle body, revised airbox, intake and larger header. It has a larger fuel tank but Honda didn’t specify the size yet and both the suspension and brakes are beefier in order to better withstand the rigors of off-road riding ABS will be standard and the off-road fans will be happy to know it can be switched off when you plan to hit the dirt.

More details will be announced in the next few days so for now, we get this one image, intended to pique our interest for the next 24 hours.
