If you grew up in the 1990s, you probably had at least one grandparent who drove a Buick Century. Baby boomers probably had a a friend or a parent who drove one. My grandfather actually had two. He liked his first Century so much, he bought a second one when the first eventually died. Talk about dedication.

And while other cars at the time were looking to the future, the Buick Century was still anchored in its past. The blue cloth upholstery. The pseudo bench seat up front. The fake wood trim. The floaty ride. It was perfect for a trip to the Piccadilly.

Yes, the Century got poor gas mileage. And yes, it was slow off the line. But it wasn't flashy, and its floaty ride made it incredibly comfortable. As Mr. Regular puts it in his latest video, it was all perfect for someone who wanted to treat themselves in a nice, conservative way.
