Ever wanted to own a supercharged Callaway Corvette, but didn't want to spend the money to buy one new? The aftermarket firm is selling one of its C6-generation development cars with a bunch of upgrades for cheap. The catch? It has over 275,000 miles on the clock.

According to Callaway's website, this SC606 started out as a six-speed manual 3LT Grand Sport C6 before being transformed with a host of mechanical and cosmetic add-ons. Under the hood sits a 6.2-liter V-8 equipped with a TVS2300 roots-style supercharger, plus an air-to-water intercooler, bigger injectors, carbon fiber injector covers, a high-flow intake, and a low-restriction DD exhaust system.

Other standard equipment that came with the SC606 package included embroidered floor mats, unique badging inside and out, as well as a plaque in the engine bay. Optional items on this car include bucket seats, a carbon fiber bodykit, upgraded suspension, a short-throw shifter, and a heavy-duty cooling package.

The car, according to Callaway, was used in company promotions when new, featured in events, advertising campaigns, and marketing materials. Later used to test the company's 100,000-mile durability standards, it passed with flying colors. The car would go on to travel another 175,000 miles in Callaway's possession without anything more than routine maintenance. Impressive stuff.

"We would not hesitate to drive this car across the country tomorrow," Callaway's sale listing says.

This SC606 is now listed for sale on the tuner's website with an asking price of $49,000. That's a good chunk of change for a car with 275,000 miles on the clock, we know, but if you're willing to take into account the top-tier mods and maintenance records, this could be the bargain Callaway 'Vette you've been looking for.
