Though it's not as hardcore as the DBR9 Le Mans competitor, this Prodrive-built DBRS9 still employs the use of a 560-horsepower naturally aspirated V12. But instead of a race-ready sequential transmission, this car was optioned with an old-fashioned six-speed manual. From the looks of it, the shifter boot looks right out of the DB9 road car. You better brush up on your heel-toe technique if you're considering bringing this thing to the track.
According to Pistonheads, the DBRS9 uses the same double wishbone suspension and Koni dampers as the more powerful car, which means you should have no trouble dominating any track day you show up to. There are also six-piston AP Racing brakes up front, and Michelin racing slicks. Did we mention this car looks absolutely stunning? Without any livery to blur the body lines, we get to see what Aston Martin's designers had in mind for its grand touring luxury cruiser turned endurance racing machine.
The selling dealer, Gosford Classic Cars in Sydney, Australia, says this DBRS9 is one of 26 examples built, originally delivered to Hong Kong. The car is said to have never been raced, and bears just 245 kilometers (152 miles) on the odometer. If you do plan on racing it (you definitely should), the car is fully homologated to FIA GT3 specs, and remains ready to hit the track at any time-though I'd personally have it checked over since it's been sitting for over a decade.
