Don't kid yourself, you'd kill to have a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Competizione in your garage. And, odds are, you never will. This original Scaglietti blueprint though, well, an average fella could just about afford that. It's one of several beautiful old blueprints up for auction at Bonhams Amelia Island event in March. Sure, they might have estimates higher than the cost of our Million-Mile Miata, but different strokes for different folks, right?

In another life I could happily image sitting in a quiet garage, gazing longingly at these old prints, wondering whose hands they'd passed through. I'd spend a lot of time quietly thanking the steady hands responsible for the precise notes measured onto paper. I'd love the hell out of this old print.

And there are more. Also represented are the works of Pininfarina, by a giant 1/5th scale 1968 365 GTB4 Daytona, and a 1/10th scale 1956 250 GT Coupe.

If Ferrari isn't your thing, check out the fantastic 1/1 scale Offenhauser engine blueprint. I thought my want had peaked with the 250 GT, but this long, linen-backed Offy print stokes a very different kind of fire.
