With 2024 marking the 20th anniversary of the original CTS-V, Cadillac has refreshed the popular CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing lineups with new fascias, a reworked interior layout, and several new standard features.

The Cadillac CT5 was the brand’s best-selling vehicle across the globe in 2023, marking a rare win for the sedan segment. To build on that success, Cadillac revised the sedan’s styling to bring it in line with the brand’s larger portfolio.

2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing Styling

Unveiled Wednesday morning, the front fascia on both the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing have been reworked, with the headlights marking the largest departure. The large vertical light layout of the Escalade and Lyriq has been integrated, complete with the V-Series Mondrian pattern from edge to edge. Those fixtures feature a ton of detailing work and provide owners with a new welcome animation upon start-up. You’ll see a similar sequence take place on the back of the new infotainment setup, as a backlit badge sits high and proud for all to see.

The V-Series also picks up a unique grille, rocker extensions, and a bespoke front spoiler setup. The Blackwing receives some bodywork changes beyond the lights by way of a new optional carbon fiber package, which brings a new splitter and some carbon accents. It’s a light styling update overall, but one that is successful in bringing the CT5 up to speed with the rest of the lineup. The cars will also receive three new hues for 2025: Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.

2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing Engine Options

Cadillac hasn’t changed up the powertrain options in the V-Series model for the 2025 model year. The CT5-V retains the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, which provides 360 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. That engine comes exclusively mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which supports launch control. The Blackwing employs a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine, providing 668 hp and 659 lb-ft, routed through either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. When equipped with an automatic, both V-Series models will now come as standard with Cadillac’s Super Cruise adaptive driver assistance system. Magnetic ride control shocks and an electronic limited-slip differential come as standard equipment across both V-Series trims. Both models are also bolstered by launch control and Performance Traction Management, but the Blackwing adds line lock functionality for smokey burnouts.
