Charles Washington salary, contract details, salary cap implications

One of the moves the Arizona Cardinals made recently was to re-sign safety Charles Washington, one of their core special teams players. He re-signed on a one-year to play a fourth season for the team.

Charles Washington salary, contract details

Washington will make the league minimum in salary in 2022. That is $1.035 million.

He also is due a $50,500 roster bonus, presumably if he makes the 53-man roster.

He also can earn up to $102,000 in per-game roster bonuses, or $6,000 per game he is active.

In all, it is a one-year deal worth up to more than $1.18 million.

Salary cap implications

Washington’s contract qualifies for the veteran benefit. While he will make up to almost $1.19 million, his salary cap hit will be less.
