Despite the fact that the C8 mid-engined Corvette is just about the worst-kept secret in the automotive industry, Chevrolet has yet to officially admit that it's a thing. But things are already winding down for the C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette-in Europe at least-which means it can't be too far off. This new Final Edition version of both the Grand Sport and the Z06 is only on sale in Europe for now, and it has an enticing list of equipment to send off what might be the last front-engined Corvette ever.

Available for the C7 Grand Sport and Z06 coupes, the European Corvette Final Edition comes either in Sebring Orange Tintcoat or Ceramic Matrix Gray paint and has a whole range of both performance-enhancing extras and visual add-ons. The performance kit includes carbon-ceramic brakes, the Performance Data Recorder, an aerodynamic package with a carbon-fiber front splitter and side skirts, and the Z07 package, which adds additional aero elements and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that wrap around black 10-spoke wheels. It also has carbon-fiber accents inside, black nappa leather with contrast stitching, competition sports seats, and, on the Grand Sport Final Edition, black fender hash marks and a Final Edition graphic on the side.

It's unlikely that this particular Final Edition C7 Corvette will ever make its way to the United States, because Chevrolet's plans for the new Corvette's rollout differ by market. While there may be a gap between C7 and C8 models in Europe, that's not the case for America. We have it on good authority that there will be some overlap between production of the C7 and C8 Corvettes for the first year or two of the mid-engined C8 car's run, with the high-performance Z06 and ZR1 C7 models continuing on as Chevrolet builds out the C8 lineup beyond the base car, which will launch first.
